Our work

Ideas are powerful.
Resources make them real.

For more than a decade, Kominote has helped mission-driven organizations turn ambitious plans into fundable strategies, stronger partnerships, and meaningful work in their communities.

2014–2026

$90M+ secured for clients

Across public grants, foundations, and other funding opportunities, our team helps organizations navigate complexity, make compelling cases for investment, and build the resources to pursue their missions. The work—and the impact made possible by those resources—belongs to our clients and their communities.

What we do

Fund development is a core strength. Community impact is the purpose.

01 / FUND DEVELOPMENT

Funding strategy & grant development

Opportunity research and qualification, funder alignment, proposals, budgets, grant calendars, and multi-year resource development strategy.

02 / NONPROFIT ADVISORY

Organizational & program strategy

Helping leadership teams clarify priorities, translate ideas into actionable plans, and make persuasive cases for investment.

03 / PARTNERSHIPS

Collaboration & systems work

Connecting healthcare, government, philanthropy, first responders, and community organizations around shared challenges.

What becomes possible

Progress takes more than a good idea.

Behind meaningful change are people willing to ask harder questions, build uncommon partnerships, and turn shared ambition into action. Here are a few places where we've helped move that work forward.

Behavioral health & crisis response

Rethinking how communities respond to a mental health crisis.

When someone experiences a mental health crisis, the response can involve emergency medical services, law enforcement, behavioral health providers, and hospitals—often working across disconnected systems. In partnership with Vitalyst Health Foundation, we helped bring those perspectives into a shared conversation, synthesize input from more than 100 respondents and stakeholders, and develop recommendations for stronger coordination and more responsive systems.

Rural healthcare & innovation

Helping new approaches to care find common ground.

Rural communities need healthcare models that reflect local realities, not simply smaller versions of urban systems. Through an HRSA-funded statewide Mobile Integrated Healthcare planning initiative, we helped connect stakeholders, examine the landscape, and develop the partnerships and planning groundwork needed to explore new ways of delivering care.

Policy & practical change

Making emerging healthcare policy usable on the ground.

New approaches to emergency care only matter when the people delivering services can put them into practice. Through Arizona's Treat & Refer work, we helped translate developing policy and reimbursement concepts into practical guidance that EMS agencies and their partners could use to understand and prepare for change.
